Who we are
Our website address is: http://clearpointtechcomm.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We use contact forms to allow you to contact us privately instead of by posting a comment on the site. We will never sell, rent, or distribute any information you provide in the contact form. See the section Who we share your data with for more information.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We may compile statistics about the use of our site including data on traffic, usage patterns, user numbers and other information. All such data remains anonymous because it does not include any personally identifying information. We may from time to time share such data with third parties such as affiliates and advertisers. Data will only be shared and used within the bounds of the law.
Who we share your data with
In general, we do not share your data with anyone. We do not sell, rent, or give your email address or other data protected by the GDPR to any person or entity. However, in certain circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
You have the legal right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by us (where such data is held). If the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive we may charge a “reasonable fee” for the administrative costs of complying with the request.
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We may also charge a reasonable fee if you request further copies of your data following a request. The fee would be based on the administrative costs of providing further copies.
Please use the contact form available on this site to contact us if you need more information.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How we protect your data
This site managed through WordPress and hosted by GoDaddy. We rely on these entities to keep your data protected as they are required by law. Also, our site, accounts, and devices are password protected. We use the Wordfence security plugin to help protect our site from attempted hacks. We keep our site and plugins updated to minimize the risks of hacking. We do regular data process audits. Notwithstanding the security measures that we take, it is important to remember that the transmission of data online may not be completely secure and that you are advised to take suitable precautions when transmitting data to us via the internet.
